New Construction Real Estate
New Construction Guide
Love that new home smell? New construction may be the way to go. There are many benefits of buying a newly built home and customization is one of the biggest. If you get in early enough you can personalize your home with choices in everything from countertops to paint colors. And if you like some of the newer design elements, you’re more likely to find them in new construction as well. Open kitchens, walk-in closets and en-suite baths aren’t always easy to find in older homes. Newer homes are also more likely to be energy efficient and have tech features built-in, saving you time and money! And with everything being brand-new, one can also hope to expect a newly constructed home to be low maintenance – at least for the first few years.
One thing to be sure to watch out for is the cost of upgrades. Model homes tend to be decked out, and while you think these features may come standard they tend to add up quickly. And most importantly – be sure to bring your Realtor the first time you visit a new community. Even if you’re buying new construction, you want to make sure you’ve got an ally by your side protecting your interests!
